Israel has released a video saying it shows Hamas militants had a military compound

beneath a hospital in Gaza City.

NPR's Greg Myri reports this comes as Israel is attempting to force the evacuation of other hospitals

which have largely ceased to function.

Israel said it uncovered the Hamas compound underneath the Ranteci Children's Hospital in Gaza City.

Israel forced this hospital to evacuate over the weekend and is now entered it.

Underneath the hospital in the basement, we found a Hamas command and control center,

suicide bomb vests, grenades, AK-47 assault rifles, explosive devices, RPGs and other weapons.

NPR can't independently confirm these details and Hamas denies it was operating from the hospital.
