Florida Governor, RSantis says search and rescue efforts that began

early this morning will continue throughout the day Friday following Hurricane

Helene. Central Florida public medias Danielle Pryor reports

says only two fatalities have been reported so far. The death toll could rise as the

teams go into harder hit areas. Desantis says more teams are deploying today. He says the

teams have exhibited heroism so far. But I think what you saw is I think a lot of

people did go out in hazardous conditions. I think that they put themselves at

risk in order to make sure other people were safe and and that's very admirable.

The statewide Hope Florida agency made up of nonprofits and faith partners will be deployed to help Floridians who are

experiencing non-emergences like clearing yard debris later today.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has pleaded not guilty to corruption charges.

After his arraignment this afternoon, Adam's attorney Alex Sparrow told reporters,

the case stems from the statements of one staffer.

The entire body of evidence is one staffer. One staffer that says there was a conversation.

But the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York says a lengthy investigation

has uncovered evidence of multiple crimes including that the mayor allegedly traded political favors

with the Turkish government. Israel's prime minister political favors and in Lebanon. And Pierre's Michelle Kellerman reports that Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will continue to fight
