bribery and fraud charges.

Adams denies wrongdoing.

Newark Governor Kathy Hockel says she's weighing her options

as she tries to maintain the confidence of New Yorkers.

I will be deliberative, I'll be be thoughtful but we're going to come to the

right resolution on what to do in this moment. I want to reassure them that this is

important to me it's important to them but their best interests

I would drive me every single day.

Hockel has not asked Adams to resign, but she says she expects the mayor to take the next few days

to find an appropriate path forward.

Well, the death tolls rising from what was Hurricane Helene,

after making landfall last night on Florida's Gulf Coast,

Helene, which is now a tropical storm, has dropped enormous amounts of rain and caused significant

flooding up through Georgia and the Carolinas.
