Former President Donald Trump is betting big on Michigan, NPR Franco-Ordonia's reports

while Republican candidates participate in the second GOP primary debate tonight.

Trump will be holding a rally with auto workers at an on-union facility.

Seven Republicans will take the debate stage for the second GOP presidential primary in

California.

It's the second debate former President Donald Trump is missing as he looks past the

Republican primaries and focuses more of his attention on the general election.

That leads to his trip to the crucial state of Michigan where he's expected to try and

court auto workers.

Many of whom are on strike.

Yesterday, President Biden traveled to Michigan where he joined a picket line.

He told members of the United Auto Workers Union that they deserve more than what the

automakers were paying them.

Trump will hold a rally at a non-union plant outside Detroit.

And he's expected to make the case that he's better suited to protect the industry and

therefore auto workers jobs.
