In Morocco today, the desperate search for survivors of last week's powerful earthquake

in the Atlas Mountains, some 45 miles from the historic city of America continues.

This as aftershocks rock the area.

Search and rescue crews are looking through the rubble as are family members and people

who live in the area.

Jalila Grainas says donating blood is the least she can do for her fellow Moroccans.

We saw on the news that they need donation for blood and I even think twice.

We just run to here because it's one of the main things that as a citizen is to help

each other, especially like on conditions where there's people who are dying.

More than 2100 people have died, thousands are injured or missing.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the U.S. is ready to help and the Washington is

just waiting for word from the Moroccan government on what they need.

Morocco's King Muhammad VI hasn't publicly requested international help, which needs

to happen before other countries can go in or address the nation yet.

President Biden met today with Vietnam's leader at the Communist Party headquarters in

Hanoi.

He says U.S. and Vietnam are critical partners meeting at a critical time.

In Farazaz Bahallad reports, Biden is working to shore up friendships to counter China's

growing influence.

Biden met with the head of the country's Communist Party to upgrade the United States'

formal relationship with Vietnam.
