After an incident last week where Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell paused during

questioning by reporters and seemed unable to form an answer, a doctor has weighed in

ruling out some things, but as we hear from NPR's Kelsey Schnell questions remain as

the Senate returns from some recess.

His office released a letter from the attending physician of the Capitol, Brian Monahan, that

listed health concerns he had ruled out, like a stroke, a seizure disorder, or Parkinson's

disease.

But you know, he notably didn't say what he suspects could be the actual cause.

McConnell has been under huge pressure to disclose more about his condition.

Two public incidents raised real questions about his condition outside of those very carefully

controlled moments.

NPR's Kelsey Schnell, McConnell felon, hit his head at a dinner in Washington, D.C. earlier

this year, suffering a concussion.

President Biden has announced he will nominate Jack Liu as his ambassador to Israel.

NPR's Franco Ordonia's reports Liu is a former Treasury Secretary who also served as chief

of staff during the Obama administration.

The nomination of Liu, a veteran government official who also served as Deputy Secretary

of State, underscores the importance Biden is putting on Israel.

It comes at a tense moment in U.S.-Israel relations as the government of Prime Minister

Benjamin Netanyahu pushes for a judicial overhaul opposed by White Swaps.

It's a loss of the country.
