Aye! No! Spear. Mayor Patty LaBelle kicking things off tonight at day two of the Democratic National

Convention in Chicago before an appreciative audience.

As NPR's A Manabistillo reports, night speeches feature the long-anticipated remarks of a former first lady.

Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama are expected to be among the

headlining speakers this evening at the United Center. The Obama's

endorsed Harris for president last month after President Biden stepped aside as a candidate.

The endorsement was seen as key in securing her nomination.

Also expected to take the stage, second gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Harris though is likely to miss the remarks tonight as she takes to Milwaukee for a rally with

running mate Tim Walsh.
