Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls, campaigned in Pennsylvania today,

and then they will make their case for the White House at the Democratic National Convention

in Chicago.

That starts tomorrow.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the convention,

including thousands of delegates.

The theme of the convention is, quote, for for the people for our future

emphasizing the message that Harris will defend Americans freedoms and future.

Democrats will argue that former President Donald Trump and his running mate,

Ohio Senator JD Vance, are pulling America backward.

Political heavyweights are set to speak, including former President's Barack Obama and Bill Clinton,

former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

And perhaps most notably President Biden

is slated to pass the torch to Harris as the party candidate, speaking

Monday night along with First Lady Jill Biden.
