Tonight Donald Trump is set to be interviewed by businessman Alan Musk on the social

media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

As NPR's Daniel Kurtzleman explains, the interview will be on friendly territory as

Musk, the owner of X supports Trump.

In July, Musk posted on X, quote, I fully endorse Trump. One question looming

over the interview is X's technical capabilities. A May 2023 X event in which Florida

Governor Ron DeSantis announced his presidential run

was riddled with glitches and interruptions.

Musk has posted that they were testing X's capacity in advance of this event.

The interview which will be live at 8 PM

eastern comes as Trump finds himself in a very different race, facing a very

different opponent in Vice President Kamala Harris and invigorated

Democratic voters. Trump's campaign has been focused lately on digital voter outreach

through interviews with podcasters and streamers,

as well as Tik-Tocs.

Nevada is among the latest states to include a measure on the November ballot to enshrine
