It's not raining this morning in New England, but Vermont flooding is left behind catastrophic

damage.

Roads are cratered.

Homes are damaged.

People are evacuated.

Soil has eroded.

Cynthia Gub lives near a dam in the town of London, Dairy Vermont and says that dam is

under incredible stress.

It is a little scary to stand here and watch the river rise and the road disappear and

the water over the dam just start to really broil and get violent.

So it is very scary to be here and watch that happen.

Dangerous heat is building across more southern states.

Heat cautions stretch from California through the central plains into Florida.

Heat indexes in locations such as Oklahoma City could pass 110 degrees today.

North Korea has launched a long-range ballistic missile today.

It's been three months since Pyongyang launched a long-range projectile.

Say Woon-Gong reports from Seoul, North Korea recently accused the U.S. of intruding its

airspace.
