Coolman, President Biden is meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak today in London.

Biden stopped in England for a lightning visit and will also briefly meet King Charles

later today.

After that, Biden and the British Prime Minister will separately take off for Lithuania

to attend the NATO summit.

That summit starts tomorrow in Lithuania's capital.

Security is tight.

Terry Schultz reports the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad is less than 100 miles from

where allied leaders will be talking about boosting their defenses against threats from Moscow.

The two-day summit, attended by some 40 heads of state and government, will be heavily

guarded by ground troops and air defenses.

Lithuanian President Katana Snowseda thanked Germany on Twitter for sending its Patriot

missile launchers, which have been deployed around the airport.

Some of them are reported to be pointed at Kaliningrad, others at Belarus, which borders

Lithuania to the east and south.

Denmark, Finland and France will station military jets in Lithuania for the duration of the

summit, while other countries are supplying equipment to deal with potential chemical,

biological, radiological and nuclear attacks.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have long been asking NATO to permanently increase its air

defense of the Baltic region.
