The dust is settling after a brief but failed armed insurrection by a mercenary force against

Russia's military leadership.

Yet, as NPR's Charles Main's reports, the whereabouts and views of key players in the

standoff remain unknown.

A new video released to social media shows Russian defense ministers Sergey Shoygou visiting

a Russian army base in Ukraine.

The first time the minister has been spotted since a group of mercenaries briefly seized

a major Russian city and marched on Moscow demanding his ouster.

Yet Shoygou made no reference to the rebellion, and it was unclear when the video was filmed.

Sino-Ali State TV aired a Sunday interview with President Vladimir Putin that appears to

have been taped days earlier.

Meanwhile, the man who led the rebellion, the head of the Vognor group, you have getting

pre-golshen.

Has not been seen since he ordered his mercenaries back to base late Saturday, under a deal that

supposedly will see him relocate to neighboring Belarus in exchange for amnesty.

Severe storms with tornadoes struck Indiana yesterday, killing at least one person and leaving

another injured.

The deadly tornado was in Martin County, southwest of Indianapolis.

A second tornado hurtled through Johnson County, the Indianapolis suburbs.
