The Trump criminal trial in New York is now dark until next Tuesday, that's when jurors

will gather for closing arguments.

It comes after the defense rested with no testimony from the former president.

And Perez Andrew Bernstein reports.

After a blistering cross-examination from prosecutors that suggested the final defense witness attorney Robert Costello was trying to keep former Trump attorney Michael Cohen from ever telling his story, the jury was sent home for a week.

Judge Juan Rashan said there wasn't time for summations, instructions, and deliberations this

week, given that there's just one more day of court due to the Memorial Day weekend holiday.

Rashan said summations could last all day Tuesday and the jury should get the case on Wednesday.
