Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Janine Hurst. The prosecutor of the

International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime

Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Defence Minister and top Hamas leaders

on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for their conduct in the Israel-H Hamas war.

President Biden is blasting the charges against the in the Whatever these warrants may imply there is no equivalence between Israel and Hamas.

He made the comments at a reception from the Rose Garden today in honor of Jewish American

Heritage Month and he told parents of a person being held in Gaza who were at the event that

his administration is working to get the hostages back.
