Police in Brownsville, Texas continue to investigate an incident yesterday when a motorist ran down

a group of people waiting for a bus.

Eight people were killed.

Authorities are still trying to learn if there was a motive.

Branswell Police spokesman Martin Sandeval says the incident occurred near a homeless

shelter that housed migrants, some of whom were victims.

This is a mixture of people.

We don't know if all of them were immigrants or not, but we can confirm that there were

some immigrants within the deceased and the injured.

Sandeval says the driver is also hospitalized and has been uncooperative in the investigation.

Meanwhile, officials in Allen, Texas, near Dallas are trying to learn more about the motive

behind Saturday's mass shooting at an outdoor shopping mall.

Eight people were killed and several others were injured.

A police officer shot and killed the gunman at the scene.

President Biden has ordered flags to fly at half staff to honor the victims.

All eyes will be on the White House tomorrow when President Biden meets with top congressional

leaders.

Lawmakers are up against a critical deadline to resolve their differences over the terms

for lifting the borrowing limit to avert a potential default next month.
