President Biden has ordered flags lowered to half-staff on federal buildings for the second

deadliest mass shooting of the year.

This one at a Dallas area mall yesterday left at least eight people dead and seven wounded,

and Pierce Amy Holt has more.

A gunman dressed in tactical gear and armed with an AR-15 style assault weapon opened

fire at the Allen, Texas mall.

Shoppers fled in terror.

They began to run and they both failed to the ground.

Maybe he thought that he had shot them.

Some could not get up.

President Biden said in a statement, children are among the dead.

A spokesperson for Medical City Health Care says their trauma facilities treated victims

as young as five, up to age 61.

An officer near the scene for an unrelated reason killed the gunmen, mass killings are

happening roughly weekly in the U.S.

Today Biden repeated his calls for Congress to ban assault weapons.

Tweeted thoughts and prayers Biden said are not enough.
