Live from NPR News in Washington, on Corvac Olman, authorities in Texas say they have

arrested a man suspected in the shooting deaths of five neighbors.

From Houston Public Media, Jack Williams reports, Francisco Orapesa was detained yesterday

in a small Texas town.

Authorities say Orapesa was arrested near the town of Cutton's Shoot, about 40 miles

north of Houston.

A call to an FBI tip line led agents to a home where he was found hiding in a closet

under some laundry.

He was arrested without incident and is being held on $5 million bond.

San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers says the arrest went down without incident, about

15 miles from where the shootings occurred on Friday night.

Somebody got a tip, DPSC ID, US Marshals, FBI, we had a tag team.

They all meandered over there and found that tip to be true.

The report for information leading to Orapesa's arrest was $80,000.

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says he will attend a May 9th White House meeting

with President Biden.

This comes as the federal government edges closer to breaching its debt limit.

But NPR's Claudia Cressalis reports McConnell warns any debt limit deal will come from

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Biden.

This week's high stakes meeting will pit Speaker McCarthy against President Biden in

negotiations over spending and the budget.
