At least five people are dead in Southeast Texas near Houston after a man allegedly opened

The shootings happen in Cleveland, Texas, about 50 miles northeast of Houston.

Authorities in San Jacinto County say 38-year-old Francisco Oropezo was intoxicated and had been

firing his AR-15 rifle into the air when his neighbors asked him to stop.

He then allegedly opened fire on them, killing four adults and an eight-year-old child.
