At least five people are dead in Southeast Texas near Houston after a man allegedly opened

fire on his neighbors overnight.

And Rich Knighter from Houston Public Media reports the suspect is still at large, but

the local sheriff's as authorities think he's in a wooded area not far from the scene.

The shootings happen in Cleveland, Texas, about 50 miles northeast of Houston.

Authorities in San Jacinto County say 38-year-old Francisco Oropezo was intoxicated and had been

firing his AR-15 rifle into the air when his neighbors asked him to stop.

He then allegedly opened fire on them, killing four adults and an eight-year-old child.

Authorities say the family is from Honduras and that one of the victims shielded several

unindered children with their body.

The suspect fled the scene and hasn't been arrested.

For NPR News, I'm Andrew Schneider in Houston.

Officials in the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula say that a Ukrainian drone slammed

into an oil refinery near the city of Sevastopol.

Sending up a column of black smoke that could be seen for miles around.

From Kiev, NPR's Yulean Haida reports, Ukraine hasn't taken credit for the attack.

Ukraine hasn't officially taken credit for any attack on Crimea since explosions began to

rock railroads, bridges, ammunition depots and air bases last fall.

And the apparent attack on Sevastopol is no exception.

I think that this is kind of a part of gentleman agreement.
