The FBI is now leading the investigation into the country's latest mass killing.

Five people were shot dead in the small southeast Texas town of Cleveland, your Houston Friday

night.

And the suspect is still at large.

James Smith is the FBI special agent in charge.

We believe he's on foot, but we do not know what we're still trying.

I mean, we have a perimeter up out there right now with Texas DPS and the Sheriff's Department.

So we're still actively out there trying to locate him and bring him into custody.

The suspect has been identified as 38 year old Francisco or a peasant.

Police say he was intoxicated and refused a request from his neighbors to stop shooting

so a baby could sleep.

The victims range an age from eight to 31 and are believed to be Honduran gun violence

at a record pace in the US so far this year.

A near record heatwave tore through California this weekend sending torrents of melted snow

gushing down rivers and streams.

By California has largely avoided the damaging flooding that had been feared.
