People in California are waiting to see

what the weather will bring in the coming days.

Rising temperatures are bringing the threat of flooding

due to rapid snow melt.

The high water potential has led authorities to close

most of Yosemite Valley.

Ron O'Sallisbury is with the Yosemite Visitors Bureau.

There are local mom and pop businesses have suffered,

you know, a lot through all of this.

And, you know, we just see this sunshine coming out.

We're all excited again and darn it.

Now there's too much water, but, you know,

I think we're resilient.

The communities are very resilient.

The closure started last night and is expected

to last at least until Wednesday.

Rapid snow melt also a problem along the upper Mississippi River.

A string of deadly accidents has led the U.S. Army

to ground its aviation units to review safety procedures.

All Army aviators will be grounded sometime next week
