South Korea and the Japanese Coast Guard say North Korea fired more missiles today, a day

after Pyongyang fired the first intercontinental ballistic missile launch since November.

This is the U.S. and South Korean militaries held joint exercises today, and Piers-Anthony

Cune has more from Seoul.

The U.S. and South Korea mobilized F-35 fighters and at least one B-1B supersonic bomber.

The exercises were in response to the North's test launch of a Hwa-Song-15 ICBM the day

before.

The missile was launched at a steep angle, it traveled some 614 miles east, but reached

a maximum altitude of 3584 miles.

Also Sunday, the North's leader Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo-Jong warned of an overwhelming

response to any hostile acts against Pyongyang.

The U.S. and South Korea are scheduled to hold tabletop exercises at the Pentagon on Wednesday,

violating a North Korean nuclear attack.

Strong aftershocks continue to hit Eastern Turkey, even as rescue workers search through

the rubble from the earthquakes that hit Turkey in Syria on Monday.

The death toll is climbed to more than 46,000 and officials estimate that more than a million

people lost their homes.

In Piers-Jason Vobian has more from Ghazi Antip.

The aftershocks are an ongoing danger to rescue workers who continue to try to extract

bodies from the precarious piles of wreckage.
