A U.S. fighter jet has shot down yet another unidentified flying object.

As Enpier Scott-Detro reports, the latest strike took place over Lake Huron, where the unmanned

object was flying at about 20,000 feet.

In a matter of days, the U.S. has shot down unidentified flying objects over Alaska, Canada's

Yukon territory, and now over Lake Huron.

A senior administration official tells NPR the object was picked up on radar over Michigan

and Wisconsin, and appears to be the same thing that sent jets scrambling to investigate

over Montana Saturday.

The object was unmanned, had an octagonal structure, with strings hanging off of it, but no clear

payload attached according to the official.

President Biden ordered it shot down.

All of this follows a national uproar over a suspected Chinese spy balloon that flew

across the entire U.S. before being shot down off the coast of South Carolina.

The death toll in Turkey and Syria from last Monday's earthquakes now tops 33,000.

In Pierce-Jason-Bobian is in the Turkish city of Gansiontup.

He reports aftershocks continue in the region, and frustration is growing over the relief

and rescue response.

Turkey has been hit with more than 2,000 aftershocks, some mild, some joltings.

And last week's major earthquakes, this as millions of Turks work to recover from the

disaster.
