I had been living in New York and working there as an actor and director and choreographer

for 25 years or so and I really felt I needed a change.

I imagined in my fantasy I suppose that when I came here I would have a completely

different life. Perhaps a construction worker or one of those guys that works on those

high wire things that with a hard hat you know that sweeping sort of hat and with the chaps.

most widely heard radio personality and intern Robin Turner. Although you said this weekend at

the hotel cafe show Jennifer you are accosted by the real Robin Turner. We call intern Robin Turner

intern Robin Turner because somebody emailed that someone. Oh the Wikipedia page. The Wikipedia

page thought her name was Robin Turner but there is a real Robin Turner and she listens to this show.

Yes and the night that we were calling Robin Turner she was at home thinking that it was a big joke

on her that like maybe her boyfriend had like gotten together with us and we were it was she

was sitting there thinking we were talking about her. That could be dangerous. That could kick

someone right over into major paranoid delusional status you know. Well she couldn't have been nicer.

She was totally adorable and came up and said hi before the show and it was just so funny because I

thought oh I know who Robin Turner is. You are not Robin Turner. Did you enjoy that show by the way?

Yeah you know it was really great and one of the things is when you go to see a list like that

where it's a really long list of performers you have to wait a long time between setup but they

had this thing nailed. They had a house band and each artist came out and did two songs

saying on each other's songs and then they each came out again into three songs. So they each did

these really short sets but it turned over instantly like one would walk up the stage the next would
