On today's college football inquire, Ross Dillinger broke a big, big story.

Notre Dame and USC are not continuing their series.

It will be paused at least for 2026 and 27, ending one of the most historic rivalries in college football that only had been paused previously for World War II and a global pandemic. Plus, we talk about some of the non-playoff bowl games, which ones are we most interested in and why do they both have sprinkles on the helmets? And we'll also talk about maybe some other candidates Michigan should consider since the search may take a little bit longer.

You have been a busy, busy man today.

As we record this, you have just broken a story that USC in Notre Dame could not come to an agreement.

They will not continue their rivalry in 2006 and 2007, which is a pretty massive shakeup from a scheduling standpoint and speaks to some much bigger things.

The themes we've been talking about a lot on this show, the giant conferences, Notre Dame playing as an independent, scheduling is an independent, and trying to get into the

college football playoff. Yeah, think about, we talk on the show a lot about the end of things

that are traditional to college football and a lot of series that have ended because of the insane

money grab in conference realignment.

And we appear to be looking at another one.

These two teams have played every single year, yeah, except the pandemic for, like, so 78 straight years.

World War II was the other thing that delayed.

Yeah, three years during, yeah, three or four years during World War II.

Outside of that, you know, they were supposed to play 97th time.
