it's been a pretty challenging year for a lot of people in many ways. And I think Emily's story

is one that will inspire you. And I think you'll really enjoy meeting her. So I'm just going to

bring her right in. Hi, Emily. How are you today? I'm so well. It's so good to be here with you, Martha. Well, thank you so much for doing this with us today. Tell me a little bit about where

you're from and what made you want to go to Notre Dame. Yeah, that's a great question. So I am

pretty much lived in Dallas my entire life. So I'm from Texas pretty far from Indiana. And in terms of

wanting to come to Notre Dame, we are a Notre Dame family insofar as we love Notre Dame football.

Nobody in my family has ever come here, though, as an undergrad or graduate student. So I always

thought being such big fans, either one of my older sisters or I would come to

Notre Dame, and neither of them did.

So it felt pretty natural for me to look at the school as an option.

And one thing that's very important to my story is that I started to lose my vision when I

was five.

So I've lived the majority of my life as a blind woman.

And in the beginning, when I was looking at colleges, I didn't take that into account too much.
