All right, Brian, and part two with today's show here on the Irish Breakdown podcast, brought

We're continuing our talk with the Notre Dame Safety room. In part one, we just talked about what's at stake. We compared them to previous safety duos and safety rooms. We talked

about the new personnel and the coaching staff in the room. Now we're going to dive into each

individual player in this room and talk through just kind of

what's at stake for each player, the outlook on their season. But before we talk individuals,

Brian, when you look at this unit on paper, this is a talented group, man. It really is.

There's no, there's no excuse for Notre Dame not to have an elite secondary in

2006 and that's certainly true at safety.

I would argue that I have more question marks about the cornerback room than I do the

safety room, simply because we don't know where Christian Gray is going to play the most.

Let's say he starts here in the first day of practice.

That doesn't mean he's going to be there the last day of practice. All that, you know, how's DJ McKinney going to be? We're not going to get his even see him this spring. You know, we won't see him until the summer. Safety, it's like, okay, your two starters are back. One of your top reserves is back. a guy that you thought so highly of that you gave him more money and basically told

Jayne on Blair to take a hike is coming. one of your top reserves is back a guy that you thought so highly of that you gave him more money

and basically told jane on blair to take a hike is coming back and arguably your top recruit in the

2026 recruiting class is at this position like i'm sorry if this room is an elite then then i have

to question the people leading this room. I don't. And

that's why my expectations are so high, you know what I mean? Like, I have faith that Aaron Henry

can develop a big time DB room. Why? Because I've seen them do it. And with all due respect,

the Kirby Joseph and Sidney Brown, I don't think they have the, even the talent that this current group does,

which is saying a lot because those were a pair of third round draft picks.

So I'm excited to see what this group can do, Trev, because it's long, it's athletic.
