Happy St. Patrick's Day for all of those who celebrate those Notre Dame fans and people of Irish descent alike, happy St. Patrick's Day. But here on St. Patrick's Day, we have another really fun show for you guys. We're previewing the safety room today. And in part one of today's show, we're talking about it's kind of the outlook of the room. We're going to take a deep dive into just how the safety position has been at Notre Dame over the last really eight to 10 years. It's been a strength of the defense. And then in part two of today's show, we're diving into the roster and what makes up this really stout unit. and then in part three of today's show, we're talking about now that we've previewed

the cornerbacks and the safeties, we're talking about the best secondaries, top 10 secondaries

in college football this season.

So should be a really fun show today, Brian, ready to dive into the safeties, man.

We were sitting here about 1255 ready to go, and I got immediately, just immediately got sick,

and I had to run upstairs and deal with that.

But I'm okay now and good to go and ready to rock and roll.

Trev, and this is the final position preview.

Obviously, Notre Dame kicks off spring practice on. And this is the final position preview. Obviously,

Notre Dame kicks off spring practice on Friday. We'll have some spring previews the next couple of days. We'll probably start Thursday show a little bit late as well because Marcus Freeman

will be having his pre-camp, pre-spring camp press conference that I'll be at. So, but lots of pre-spring preview questions, position battles, things,

kind of coming up the next couple days before practice.

And then Friday, of course, Trevor and I will be on campus in Notre Dame

watching the first full spring practice fall camp.

Some questions will get to answer that first day, who's where, those type of things. Other things we won't really know until the end of spring. Some other things we won't know until we get to the fall. But it's that time of year, Trev, and I'm certainly excited about it. And as we wrap up these position groups, this is another group that's,

it's kind of like, I mean, we're kind of mixing the story or the preview up a little bit

today, because I feel like a lot of these previews kind of been the same, very talented

group, but, you know, new coach, you know, just this new thing that's kind of going on.

And that's certainly true here.

But this is a position that has been quietly, surprisingly, a strength for Notre Dame for quite some time to varying degrees.

And we certainly expect that to be the case in 2016.
