Now, this is something that we've been doing to go along with our position previews for Notre Dame. Once we kind of cap off a group, we talk about some of our top 10 units. Now, there's still some that we have to do. Thankfully, we have an entire offseason, almost an entire offseason left of time for us to

get through a lot of those rankings. But today, we're focusing on the top 10 secondaries now that

we've talked about in Notre Dame's cornerback room and their safety room. And this was a fun list

to put together. And once you guys start to see things unfold, I think that there is a relative

gap between the first two, three teams and some of the rest of the list.

Some of our criteria.

Some of our criteria was different.

Like any list that Brian and I put together, we have some identical similarities in our

list, and we also have some that are pretty different, give or take a couple of margins here.

So, Brian, before we kind of dive into this list, what was some of your criteria in putting your top 10 together?

So to me, it is a projection of what I think, of what we know right now, projecting what will be the best, meaning what we know right now is I can't project that some kid who never played for somebody is going to go out and be a star this year. I could have predicted that

Tay Johnson was going to be a pretty good player. I don't know that like there's other times

where it's like a guy breaks out and you're like, yeah, I didn't see that one coming. Or, you know,

there's so, so like this transfer from a school that like, who, here's Notre Dame's had an example

like this. Who going going in 2022 we talked about

how Javante Jean Baptiste can really help Notre Dame but honestly like who thought he was going

to be a double digit tackle for lost guy going into 2023 like we knew he was going to help Notre Dame

we knew he was going to be a player but did we really know that he was going to be like what he was going to help Notre Dame. We knew he was going to be a player, but did we really know that he was going to be like what he was? No, I don't think that's fair. I don't think you can
