We were talking Notre Dame keys to victory over Texas A&M.

We're doing it how we always do it.

We're breaking down offense and we're going to break down defense.

And when you look at this unit, there is a lot of good takeaways from the Miami game and a lot of things that they need to adjust on.

And unfortunately, even though, like I said before, college football has been on for about 20 days,

we've only seen Notre Dame play once.

And so some of the things that they're going to have to improve on, we've only seen one game of a sample size.

But when you look at this matchup, I know everybody knows where we're going to start with this one,

but starting fast

always has different connotations to it depending on the opponent. But Brian, nonetheless,

Notre Dame is going to have to start fast on Saturday night. I mean, it's the most obvious one

that we have, but it's it's the most applicable too. I mean, look, we have been begging for this

for a long time. Just come out and put teams away. I watch certain teams play even against inferior opponents. And it's like, wouldn't it be nice if you could just bench a quarterback at halftime because he's 18 of 19 for 300 yards and four touchdowns at the half and you've scored 50 some points against

a really bad team or wouldn't it be great if you're 20 points better than a team that you actually

beat that team by 20 points you know it'd be really nice and last year you know Notre Dame had

their moments like that like the Purdue game was over at halftime but there were a lot of games where

like Florida State game you're like do why are they letting this terrible're like, dude, why are they letting this terrible team hang around?

Stanford game. Why are they letting this terrible team hang around?

And then obviously they start blowing them out in the third quarter.

But it's just kind of like, I want to see this team come out and find a way to establish some early momentum on offense.

And I would say this has been primarily in the past couple of years
