I'm Pete Sampson, joined, as always, by Matt Fortuna in Chicago. Today we have a

special guest, former Notre Dame basketball player and current ACC network host, Jordan Cornett.

We talked about a bunch of different things. His new career, Notre Dame's fit in the ACC,

just sort of how that's all processed through for Notre Dame, still two weeks into the season, even though we're sitting

here and it's early October. Matt, we actually get a Notre Dame game this weekend.

I'll be there. I'm assuming you'll be at home watching Miami Clemson.

I will definitely be bringing Tate's iPad to the game to watch that.

But what the, I guess sort of as Notre Dame gets restarted,

and you've sort of sat through a bunch of Brian Kelly press conferences on Zoom,

how are you feeling about, I guess, sort of where Notre Dame is is,

I mean, it's still bizarre to me that they're number five in the country,

and they haven't played for what feels like

a month. Yeah, I mean, well, they didn't lose Iowa State, Pete, like Oklahoma did this past week,

or Texas losing. Matt Campbell is like trying to text me about like, hey, would you take me back?

You do know that Brock Purdy, the quarterback, has a brother named Chuba Purdy, who plays for Florida State,

but I believe he's injured coming into this week. So he will not be impressing you in person Saturday night. Yeah, I'll have multiple TV set up to watch both games. And who knows, I mean, Miami's, they look good so far, but I mean, would it shock anyone if Clemson ran them off the field like they have to pretty much everyone the last few years?

I don't know. We'll see, but I'm intrigued about the idea of a meaningful ACC game with ACC title game implications in the regular season, which is something we haven't had in the league in a while.

As far as on the field stuff or off the field stuff, I guess I should say, the last two weeks.

It's been interesting, just seeing kind of the tone Brian Kelly has struck when speaking.

I wouldn't say one of uncertainty, but one of kind of tempered expectations of, hey, we got the daylight scared out of us, kind of, like,

we kind of had a, this is your life moment, if you will, the last two weeks where, like,
