Summary

James tells us not only to listen to the Word but also to be doers of the Word. He uses a specific example of not favoring people who look important over those who may be deemed 'less than.' We are all one body, children of God in Christ. He loved us, so we also ought to love one another. This is our faith in action. For more information, visit lakepointe.church/dailydrive

all the time wanting food or gas money or help of some kind. So I was given the task of preaching

I would do an object lesson. So I dressed up like one of the homeless guys that were all around

our church, and I made myself unrecognizable. I had a long beard, had my hat pulled down,

1:28.2

I had torn up jeans, dirty army jacket, had gloves with the fingers cut out and all my belongings

in a bag. And I got to the church early, and I came in and sat in the middle of the auditorium.

1:38.5

People filed in and totally avoided me. They shook hands with each other, they embraced

each other, but no one said anything to me. My own mom, who usually sat in that section, moved to the other side.

I stood with the crowd, I sang with the crowd, and when it was time for the message, and

the worship leader had the people sit back down, he started getting nervous because I wasn't
