It's pretty obvious now what the government has in mind with this Trump raid of Mar-A-Lago.

They're trying to normalize or desensitize all of us to the shocking thing that they did

to a former president by raiding his home and taking personal belongings, documents, who knows

what all they took. We don't know what they got earlier this summer when Trump allowed them to come

in and agreed to turn things over. where you don't see a list of what

those documents are, they're attempting to drag this out and drag this out and carry it over

months and months and months in order to every single day chip away at normalizing or desensitizing

all of us to what it was that they did.

This is borne out in what the judge ruled on Thursday.

Judge Reinhart ruled that the government has one week to present a redacted version of the affidavit

the reasons why they needed to raid Trump's house and go in, which means

the government gets to decide what we see, which is not what the judge should have ruled at all.

If the defendant isn't the right word, if the person who was raided once the entire affidavit

released, which Donald Trump does, why wouldn't you do that?

Why? I mean, these affidavits are usually protected to protect the person that's raided.

We've talked about that on previous podcasts. What they're doing here is just normalizing this.

Why does it take a week to come up with a redacted version? Every step of the way it's going to drag and drag and drag and go nowhere.

They're absolutely trying to make us numb to this. They want people to forget the shock, the historic nature of what it was that they did.

As it drags out over time, it just becomes another part of American life, of the Trump's
