Another preseason game, another spectacular performance for Patrick Mahomes

in the Kansas City's first team offense, as it's actually relatively exciting for Kansas

City fans to have a

an NFL team, a pro football team, playing the studs, at least for a little while in the

first half of these games. In many cities, there are teams and coaches that simply will not play

their guys. And it's become interesting for me to see because in the past, every team had the same preseason

routine. Every team went out and played their quarterback, you know, a series in the first game,

and then it used to be there was four games. The third game was the big one for the quarterback.

He'd go all the way through the first half, then start the second half. They'd go through their

halftime protocol, and every team in the league did this. And now so many teams are opting out of even having their quarterback on the field and their top wide receiver and running back on the sidelines for the game. And they don't even consider putting their guys in the game. They just go through practices that are largely not physical to get ready for a season that's going to be a meat

grider. And we know how difficult the regular season is. But I'm even watching the Chiefs

offense and they're now, you know, the takeaway here is it's 21. The Chief starters against

the opponent starters, the Chiefs are up 21 nothing. That's basically where they are. The Chief's

starting defense has allowed nothing.

Chiefs starting offense has been perfect. Three drives, three touchdowns, 21-0-0-0-Chiefs.

So we could look at that and say, well, the starters have beaten the starters for the other team,

but we can't really do that because in the other cases, maybe some starters are out,

or we certainly know Aaron Rogers isn't going to play Thursday night

against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. So it just becomes a really interesting thing to look at

and try to piece together. So I'm going to do it this way. Well, the Chiefs have been very good
