Summary

In this episode I talk to Nora Maxwell, an activist helping white and non black POC be better allies. We dive into her mission of educating followers through digestible, approachable, meaningful and creative content and making the switch from learning to doing. We discuss the individual, interpersonal, and structural ways to act in allyship, how to hold family and friends accountable, and the white fragility that may arise. Nora also shares her experience growing up in a biracial household. In the solo ending portion of this episode, I discuss implicit bias and what I've noticed as a podcast host and also try to unpack my current relationship with my financials.
