Welcome. Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of telling everybody everything where I am fighting for my life.

The baby wakes up at 4.30. Sometimes it was 4. Today it was 4.30. And I have potty trained her,

not completely. But I just wish this kid was taking a shit at six. Like, that's what I would

love. 530, take a shit at 530. And very wonderful, well-meaning people are like, sleep with the baby

sleeps. I'm like, yeah, but I'm already neglecting three other children. So I can't. I have to play dinosaur or like Fena

lately has got into the princess phase. I know so many amazing progressive parents who don't

assign gender stereotypes to their kids. I know lesbian parents who are like, she'll be strong and

brave. And they never went

through like the little princess phase, this one couple in particular that I'm thinking of. And as soon as

their daughter turned three, she was like, it is ribbons and high heels and bows and Disney from here

on in. And Fenna was very much the same. She really likes football and she plays with Fred a lot and her dad.

So she, I guess, I mean, I don't know what the term tomboy means.

I wouldn't describe her like that as a small child, but she was just quite sturdy, like

athletic, brave, fierce, like sporty.

And now she just wants to wear dresses and she likes the movie Enkanto, which I love.

I think some of the Disney movies that have like non-blonde white princesses don't do as well in my experience.

Princess and the Frog with the black Princess Tiana from New Orleans. That came out when

Violet was really small. And we went on a Disney cruise and it was like no one was lining up for Tiana.

And I don't even know if Brave, if the girl Myriad, is that her name, from the Scottish movie Brave,

because she was Ginger, I don't know if she was as popular.

So Enkanto is like Hispanic people who have these magical gifts.

And it makes me cry all the time.
