We had a big election last night.

I don't know how much, certainly people in Ohio knew it was a big election

because the turnout kind of told the tale there.

I'm not sure how much people around the country knew there was a kind of a big election last night

unless people kind of like political junkies or pro-choice or pro-life activists who followed.

But anyway, there was a referendum, I guess it's a not sure what they call it in Ohio,

but it's a ballot initiative to change the state constitution.

And formally, what this vote was about was whether the Ohio state constitution would change

so that when there are other ballot initiatives to change the state constitution,

you would need a 60% threshold as opposed to a 50% threshold.

So to make it substantially harder to change state constitution through, you know,

in different states they call these referendum, ballot initiatives, propositions,

whatever, all basically the same thing.

So, and needless to say, there are, I mean, on any question you can always get 50-50, right?

But to get over 60% is a big hurdle, certainly in our politics.

And if something has more than 60% support, generally you're not going to need to have a proposition or referendum, right?
