Hi, this is Josh Marshall, and this is the Josh Marshall podcast with Kate Riga.

This is another one of these. It's not quite an evergreen episode,

kind of an evergreen episode. We're recording in advance. We're recording this

episode on Friday, July 28th, and this is one of those episodes where

there's a pretty good chance that there will have been

major news on the topic we're going to talk about. By the time you hear it,

which is next Wednesday, something like, I don't know, is it August the second,

something like that. So we're doing this episode with a full recognition

that it is, I don't know, more likely than not, that by the time you're hearing this,

there will have been a series of January 6th in diamonds, presumably,

including a former president Donald Trump. One of the things that

doesn't get, doesn't get discussed a lot in this conversation is that it's

pretty hard to imagine it'll only be Donald Trump. I mean, that will be weird,

because I mean, there's, there's kind of an endless number of

co-conspirators. Many of them seem to have, seem to be cooperating.

In terms of accountability, Trump is definitely the big one,

but I don't know how you could do it and just say, yeah, it's just him.
