on the show for a really long time. Andrea Ritchie is a writer, organizer, and researcher who has

been documenting, organizing, litigating, and agitating around policing and the criminalization

of black women, girls, trans, and gender nonconforming people for over three decades.

She is a co-founder of interrupting criminalization and the N.R. Names Network and the author of the

2017 book, Invisible No More, Police Violence Against Black

Women and Women of Color, which was actually one of the books that we first wanted to

talk about on this show.
