Radner, Pennsylvania is Diane Collins. She's sharing her lift, no bullies in the kingdom of God.

I worked in a large firm with a supervisor who often bullied subordinates, including me.

Months of prayer resulted in a clear directive to identify him as a child of God instead of a bully.

He was renowned in his field, and I recognized his intelligence as a quality of God,

who is known in Christian science as divine mind.

I also had heard about this supervisor's persistence in overcoming obstacles earlier in life.

So every time bullying occurred, I held firmly to his reflection of God.

At the same time, Jesus' declaration that the kingdom of God is within us helped me.

I realized all of us live in that kingdom of God as his

spiritual ideas and there's no in harmony there. One evening I was in the office. This

supervisor and I were discussing a contract that confused me and I was writing down

his instructions.

With disgust in his voice, he said,

I hate it when you write down everything I say.

It makes me feel like Chairman Mao.

He was referring to the Chinese dictator in the mid-20th century.

Without even thinking about it, and surely moved by God, these words came out of

my mouth, without sarcasm. Don't worry, when you leave the room, I cross out almost everything you said.

In an instant, I thought, I can't believe I just said that.

He was silent for a second, and then he burst out laughing.

It was clear he felt the lightheartedness and even the love in my comment.
