Hello again! We're so glad you're here for today's Christian Science Daily Lift.

One morning, an image came onto my laptop screen, rough seas, billowing waves and an angry black sky.

It brought to my thought words by Mary Baker Eddy in the Christian Science hymnal.

And o'er earth troubled, angry sea, I see Christ walk, and come to me and tenderly, divinely talk.

Thus truth then grounds me on the rock, upon life's shore,

gains to which the winds and waves can shock, oh never more.

I felt a great calm and comfort waft over me. For several months I'd had

one challenge on top of another, bringing unwanted symptoms of anxiety and stress. As I looked at the picture on the screen,

I realised it was nothing more than an image being presented vividly to my thought,

an image of a violent storm.

The image of myself as burdened, overloaded, anxious and physically

struggling, was not real either. And I felt that deeply. As the words in that hymn convey, the ever-present Christ comes and talks with us.

As a friend of mine would say, the Christ is on the case. But the Christ doesn't come down from

somewhere. It comes to us because it is already here.

Christ isn't limited to a person.

It's God's message of love and salvation to each of us.

In science and health, Mrs. Eddy defines Christ as the divine manifestation of God,

which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error.
