Today on the podcast is the incredible Coach Jes Woods.
Jes is a Coach for Nike Running, inspiring and challenging those running with NRC since the Fall of 2012. She is RRCA certified and has coached first-time runners, influencers, ultra marathons, and high-profile athletes. She is also the Brooklyn Track Club Trail & Ultra Head Coach. Jes herself is quite the accomplished runner and has completed 18 ultra marathons and counting since 2012 (including five 100-mile races).
In this conversation, Jes goes through her history in the sport, from nine years in the triple-jump to ultimately running 100 milers, her coaching career and the lessons she's learned from it, the best running and food spots in NYC, and much more! Through Jes's personal experiences and knowledge, you will gain a deeper understanding of the mental and physical components of running and how to apply them to enhance your own running journey and ultimately improve the quality of your life. You'll always have a few laughs along the way.
