This is CBS Eye on the World. I'm John Batsy with Gregory Coppley, editor and publisher

of Defense and Foreign Affairs. We move from the unsettled troubles, the unsettled

0:14.8

Niger and the troubles are deep, but the troubles in Nigeria, which is a population of

0:19.8

four, five, six, seven, eight more times than Niger, is also a troubled nation.

Tnubu was elected in the recent question election. He is now leading ECOWAS and called the

0:33.9

meeting on Thursday to talk about the revolution or whatever it is, the coup in Niger. Tnubu,

1:49.4

by the way, to the does touch on the border with Niger. That's why there's been the joint regional

1:55.9

peacekeeping operations between Niger and Nigeria and to a lesser degree, Cameroon.

2:03.2

So, yes, there are troops in that area, but if you commit them to fight a conventional military

2:08.4

war against the conventional military in Niger, I would say it would be hard. One minute, Gregory,

2:12.7

one minute. So at this point, do you believe Tnubu was step up with Echoos and insist or

2:18.9

enforce a reversal of fortune in Niger? Is that, is he capable of that? We have one minute.
