In these last days since the announcement of the late July coup, against the elected President Bazoum,

there have been many reports from West Africa, especially the nations of West Africa, about what has to be done.

I welcome Gregory Kaplie, editor and publisher of Defense and Foreign Affairs, to sort through these contradictory reports over the last seven to ten days.

When last we spoke, there was a meeting of ECOWAS that's the community of nations in the West for economic development.

To apply themselves to a solution to what appears to be a military takeover of the government.

How that takeover took place is significant.

It was the Presidential Guard were told that moved against the President one morning having to do with an employment complaint.

The President locked himself in a safe room with his family and remains there. Bazoum remains captured but not able to leave.

The Presidential Guard quickly turned into the military leadership.

There were several names that emerged, the one that stuck is a man named Chiani, the general.

But since then, the U.S. is attempted to communicate with Chiani, so if several other world leaders is not responded to the reporting.

ECOWAS met last Thursday, the leaders of ECOWAS are their representatives, including Nigeria, and came to no conclusion.
