Former, we were speaking of corruption in Brazil, now we're speaking of corruption in

Peru because there was a report that the president of the country,

Dina Bilarti, who was elevated in her post

after the arrest and jailing of a man named Castillo,

who was elected, was wearing a 56,000,000 Cartier watch with a $4,000 a month salary.

Joseph, I don't want to make too much of this,

although a watch like that does get one's attention.

Is this ordinary corruption?

Because the legislature is now reported not going to move against her.

Last week that was a question.

Yeah, John, I mean there's corruption all around Latin America and there's

kind of these kind of things you see where there's lavish lifestyles of people

that aren't making a lot of money.

I mean, I'm in Argentina and like the average salary of a congressional member here in the country is probably

about anywhere between no more, 1500,000, $1,,000, $2,000 at the highest a month.

And you have people here that live in very lavish apartments and houses

with nice cars and nice watches.

So it always doesn't always add up.

But I should say that what's becoming more normal

in Peru, which is becoming very concerning, is this idea that you're going to just flip a president

every year for whatever reason. And Bruce had six presidents in six years.
