Because geopolitics on this scale requires detail about the stops, the stopovers, the passing

through the visit of the President of Taiwan to two small states in Central America.

There's been much news these last days about Taiwan and Honduras.

Shamoro Castro, the new President of Honduras, not only has directed her government to change

its loyalties from Taipei, Taiwan to Beijing, People's Republic of China, but also announcing

a pending visit to China by the new President.

However, we have different direction now with Tsai Ing-wen, the President of Taiwan, elected

in 2016, stopping in Belize and Guatemala City.

Let's start with Belize because I know very little about this.

What is the significance of these stops?

They're certainly playing big headlines because the President of Taiwan is on her way,

while the stops were meant to be in between New York and a stopover in Los Angeles where

she's to meet other dignitaries, including the Speaker of the House.

What is the significance about Belize and Guatemala City to the U.S. to the People's Republic

of China making threats and to the future of Taiwan?
