Panama is vital to the global economy. The Panama

Canal is one of the genius moves of the early 20th century that here in the 21st century we're

extremely grateful to the risk and the dare of the engineers and the men and

women who built the canal. However, there is a drought, a drought in two of the lakes that feed the canal, and that has led to a reduction in traffic dramatically, shipping some of the containers by rail from one coast to the other coast,

because the canal cannot fill adequately for the size of the container ships.

At the same time, this drought has meant a plunge in revenue for

Panama conjoined with a plunge in revenue from a copper mine mixed up with the fact that this is an election

year and then that's the predicate.

The man most favored by the polling in Panama, this is a developed culture around Panama City.

Very, its sovereignty not challenged.

The prosperity of the people is evident in the shopping.

The leading candidate is named Martinelli.

He is a previous president, the next president, Ricardo Martinelli.

However, a court last year condemned him for corruption and I believe the sentence was 11 years

which might start momentarily.

However, he's a leading candidate for the presidency.

The court, the Supreme Court, the equivalent in Panama,

moved to disenfranchise him as a convict heading to jail.
