The Reuters headline tells a story of woe. Ex-president Bolsonaro charged an alleged coup plot.

This is, right now, a vast conspiracy as outlined by the prosecutors in Brazil.

Charged with leading a plot to overthrow the government

and undermine the country's 40-year-old democracy

after the 2022 loss is the explanation.

The plot also included, according to the Financial Times report this morning,

an intention to assassinate the elected President Lula de Silva. Professor, I come to this, having been prepared for it for months,

the announcement in 2024 that it was being put off until February for the indictment. Well, here it is.
