So doing a lot, not up to 100%, but doing a lot better. So let's go and do some big news here in the labor market. It seems like we're getting big news in the labor market every single day as the data continues to soften exactly what you would

expect in this type of cycle. So let's start by doing a screen share and

going over to see NBC be see and check this out layoffs jump in August

for hiring in 2024 is at its historic low is According to the Challenger report,

and it'll be really interesting to see

what the jobs numbers show tomorrow.

We've got non-farm payroll.

Everyone is expecting well everyone is expecting a big

market move as a result I will have to see which way it is. I don't really have an opinion one way or the

other. I wouldn't be surprised if it's surprised on the upside due to the

manipulation of numbers and I wouldn't be surprised if it surprised on the downside either

just due to all the other economic data we're seeing.

Getting back to this challenger report, layoff soared in August, hitting

their highest total for the month. So what they're doing is they're comparing August to August 2024, August 2023 to August 2022 and going all the way

back. So this is the highest layoffs that they have seen for in August going back 15 years.

If you do the quick math, that would be 2009.

Not exactly a high point for the US economy but there's

still people out there because just listening to a podcast I'm gonna do a video on

it later on today where people are saying the economy is booming.

And I'm not talking about people, I'm talking about quote-unquote experts.
