Former Jets quarterback, recently retired Jordan Travis, had some things to say about his

relationship with Woody Johnson, and they speak volumes about the way the owner relates with

his players.

But there was also a trade for the New York Jets yesterday.

Michael Carter II is no longer a member of the New York Jets yesterday. Michael Carter the second is no longer a member of

the New York Jets. He's now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. The Jets and Eagles work out a trade that

sends Carter to Philadelphia in exchange the Jets get wide receiver John Mechie. There's also a late

round pick swap in 2027. Jets send their 2027th round pick to Philadelphia. They get back the Eagles' 2027-6th round pick.

So let's talk about why the Jets made this deal.

And I think it's pretty obvious.

You know, if you're looking at the terms of the deal, this is clearly motivated by the Jets

just wanting to dump Carter salary.

They got very little in return for Michael Carter the second. I mean, like I said, a pick swap, six for a seven, two years down the line. And then wide receiver John Metchie. We'll talk about him in a little bit. You know, maybe he's a hidden gem. The Jets can develop a little bit, but not a, Metchie's not a receiver that had a tremendous amount of trade value.

And Carter had a big contract.
