Well, on today's show, we are going to focus on the second half of the 20-25 season for the New York Jets. The Jets have their by this week, and it comes at just about the halfway point of the season. An NFL season has 17 games. The Jets have played eight of them. Nine to go. So what needs to be accomplished over the final

nine games of the season? Well, Jets need to start making progress. That means winning games.

Jets need to develop some of their young players because this is a rebuilding team that's focused on

the future. And the Jets, before anything else,

need to navigate the trade deadline, which is Tuesday. That is the final day. Teams can make

trades in the 2025 season. We've already seen one trade. The Jets sent Michael Carter the second to

Philadelphia for John Metchie, and then there was also a late round pick swap in the 27 draft.

There are plenty of rumors, though, about the New York Jets, which is natural.

When you are a team that is one in seven and hopelessly out of the playoff race,

people wonder, are you going to keep veterans?

Are you going to send them off for draft picks?

I think that the Jets clearly, if the choice is whether they should be a buy or buyer or a seller, should be a seller. You know, the Jets should not be looking to add players. The only players the Jets should be looking to add through trade. And look, you always should be open to opportunities. But Jets should only be looking to add players who are, first of all, young and second of all will likely be on the team two years from now. If a team puts a young, if another team is offering the Jets a good deal on a second year player who has a chance to be a good starter going forward, of course you take it. But the Jets' main focus should be selling. And we frequently are at this point. I think one of the big frustrations for me last year was the Jets did not sell at the trade deadline.
